I’m a huge fan of old-time radio now, because I get it on my cut-rate Sirius package in the car. I love all the cop shows, including Dragnet. But my favorite is “Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar.” It’s about an insurance investigator (“the world’s most exciting insurance investigator with the action-packed expense account!”) who gets to pack heat and make out with hot chicks! That would be akin to Mom being a spy back at Sentry, sort of. Anyway, it was wildly popular, probably because real insurance investigators and accountants could fantasize that their jobs were glamorous, too.
