It was so hot today that when I got in my car this evening after work I found the rear view mirror on the floor. The glue holding it to the windshield had melted. And now I can see why. The glass place that replaced the windshield years ago applied glue to only half of the mounting plate.
The “correct” glue will supposedly be at the garage Friday morning. If that doesn’t work I’ve already contacted J.N. Phillips glass about a backup plan.
Can you call a glass place and ask them what they use? They must have to reattach mirrors after replacing windshields.
I still don’t have my rear view mirror! How many types of glue are there??
Bring an egg with you and fry it on the hood!
