Micky Dolenz on the Beeb
February 2nd, 2010
As I keep saying, I enjoy listening to BBC Radio 2. Steve Wright in the Afternoon is in the morning here, at 9 AM ET. On Wednesday Steve’s guest will be Micky Dolenz.

Doug,
Thanks for posting this. I felt a little bad for Micky…he must cringe when he hears songs with Davy Jones as the lead singer!

Yeah, I was surprised that “Daydream Believer” was used before a Micky interview, and at the end Wright wanted to go out with another Davy song.

VERRRY bad form using Davy’s songs to flank the interview with Micky, who did NOT sing either song.
Come on now. The Beeb knows better than that … *rolls eyes*

Davy’s English, of course, so I can see Wright favoring him, but Micky’s first wife, Samantha (mother of Aimee), is English, and she was a regular on Top of the Pops. And Micky spent many years living in England, as he said in the interview.
