Larissa comments on her lost last game

March 25th, 2009

The Contra Costa Times has an item about Larissa Kelly’s stunning loss in Final Jeopardy! in the deciding game of the Tournament of Champions. Click here. Larissa says, “It’s such a weird, surreal experience. It’s so detached from any part of your regular life. It’s fun, but it’s kind of a blip.”

Ah… that would explain her severe look of disappointment- I forgot about that when I read up on her during her initial streak earlier in the season: not only is she extremely competitive, something I love about her- but the Final Jeopardy! subject was one that her husband knows full well- so she was probably more upset with that over actually coming in second.

It’s great to see her realistic attitude- that this is just a “blip” on the radar screen of life, so to speak as she returns to normal life.

I think the greatest part of all this, is that not only is she very likable, but she’s the most winning-est woman in Jeopardy! history and the third most richest contestant in Jeopardy! history- that just amazing.

With all of the violence in Mexico, maybe Larissa should reconsider returning there until things quiet down.
