Firefox 3 Not Ready Yet

July 14th, 2008

I’m entering this with Firefox 3. It’s been crashing a lot, going to sites like ZDNet and Computerworld. I’m sending all of the crash reports to Mozilla, but if you’re using Firefox 2 and are considering updating, for now I would suggest holding off.

Curious — my FF3 has been more stable than FF2, and it fixes a login incompatibility with software at home.

Yeah, but are you looking at Computerworld and ZDNet at home? Me neither.

and what’s the deal with Adobe Reader? I can’t get one to work at all. All those ,pdf files I can’t read! It keeps saying either I must be in “safe” mode, but I checked and I’m not, or else there’s an error with Windows Installer, which there isn’t, when I follow the instructions on that. Any advice? I also get error messages when I play Adobe Shockwave videos, but the tapes still play, downloading very quickly with no stops and starts.
