Mentos Moment

You’ve perhaps, if not probably, seen videos of what happens when Mentos candies are dropped into bottles of diet cola. The reaction is due to the carbonation, and diet soda is better because it isn’t sticky. There’s now a Geyser Tube™ kit you can buy that will make it possible to waste some Mentos and a bottle of soda from a safe distance for ten seconds of excitement. Eric and his cousins Sarah, who pulled the string, and Kate, who complained the demonstration wasn’t very exciting, demonstrate.

Hey, pretty cool! That’s what school vacations are made for - “scientific experiments”. But how does it taste?

I don’t know how it tastes, because it was cheap, generic diet colan — I mean cola! Speaking of Colan, Gene wasn’t at the New York Comic Con? How ’bout a guest blog post, eh?

Is that Eric speaking? If so, he sounds just like you, Doug! Oooh, GLENN is back! Here’s a time I’d like to be visiting you folks. Just to see YOU and Carol and Eric, and Marianne and her family, of course. REALLY! But, if Glenn were around, well, that wouldn’t hurt the eyes, either.
