Le Pratt Name

April 13th, 2008

Serves me right, for saying a couple of weeks ago that I’m only a so-so Dilbert fan. This panel is from today’s Dilbert.

Dilbert Panel

Oh, that despised word. Prattle. Maybe I should call this blog Pratt’s Prattle.

    Pratt Surname Origin
From the Latin Pratum, a meadow. Prat, in the Dutch, signifies proud, arrogant, cunning.

Also, “prattle” is from the latin “prate” to “talk” I miss my old name.

Hey! What’s with the yellow skin on Dilbert’s people? Is it a Simpson’s rip-off?

I scanned that panel from the Sunday Boston Globe, and the color is faithful to how it’s printed. But checking it at the Dilbert Widget, it’s not yellow.
