Pratt Porch Project - Final

Meet Glenn, our contractor! Now that Glenn is done, I have lots of painting to do, and we still have to pick out furniture.

Glenn

Before doing the porch, Glenn remodeled our kitchen and two bathrooms. We recommend Glenn without hesitation or reservation. If you live in the Metrowest area of Boston, anywhere around the intersection of Route 90 (Mass Pike) and Route 495, write me at dograt@dograt.com and I can give you Glenn’s phone number.

The remodeled porch is pretty much like having an addition on the house. Click here to see a “before” picture of the view in this photo.

Porch - Day 25

I’ll close with a photo of the view from the back of the porch. No more pollen or snow getting in through the screens!

Pratt Porch Project - Days 24, 25

It’s done! YAY! The rest of the pre-primed trim is in and the wiring is complete. A total of five work-weeks worth of effort by the contractor, and we have a porch that’s even better than we imagined.

Wedding of the Painted Doll

You’ll recognize this tune from Singin’ In The Rain. It’s from Broadway Melody (1929), featured here a while ago. You’d almost think this was choreographed by Busby Berkeley. It wasn’t, but it certainly points in that direction.
